Elvin Hair braids
In Elvin culture, braided hair carries deep symbolic meaning. It is more than a style; it’s a personal declaration of identity, memory, and connection to ancestral legacy.
Among elves the number, complexity, and adornment of braids often convey one’s lineage, personal history, or standing within a House or coterie. Some elves braid small tokens—beads, feathers, stones—into their hair to commemorate places they’ve visited or vows they’ve taken. To cut one’s braid is a sacred act, often done only in mourning, penance, or as a sign of starting anew.
