Imondarr is the name of the world in which The Gift of Dragons is set. Let me set the stage for you.
Imagine you are exploring space and you come across a planet in a small solar system with a single sun, and three small moons. Upon circling the planet, you see that it is not much larger than earth and strikingly similar to it. It has a blue-green ocean with white clouds skimming its atmosphere and green landmass. However, instead of several continents spread out upon the planet’s surface, it has one giant continent – similar to what you remember from your history lessons about Earth’s mega continent – Pangea. Upon closer inspection you see in the center of the landmass a large circular body of water with several large islands. But wait, the massive continent isn’t actually one land mass, but eight! It looks like a giant asteroid hit the planet and shattered it into eight separate land masses with a narrow stretch of sea between them.
This world is called Imondarr. And it wasn’t an asteroid that hit it, but a terraforming device that impacted it eons ago. You see, Imondarr is a word rich in resources and the acquired domain of the Aosir Emperor, Mazer Traxxen I who’s soul ambition is to gain control of the known universe – even if he has to conquer time and space itself to do so. But that is a story for another time. Today, we are going to focus on Imondarr. Click on the hyperlink to learn more about that continenent (this is a work-in-progress):
Imondarr’s eight continents are:
Eshuwa
Gulfeland
Eurades
Rajalemlaq
Montevyrra
Suranai
Panemoria
Ystre
The small islands found in the inner sea are collectively called Chonaith; Imondarr’s capital and the seat of Emperor Mazer Traxxen.
